Greg Thornton

Chief Financial Officer

As senior vice president and chief financial officer, Greg employs his strong fiscal values to direct accounting, audit, tax, contracts/risk management, financial planning and company treasury functions. Greg also oversees the firm's information technology department, ensuring our teams and clients have the infrastructure and tools needed to complete their projects. He is a member of ESA's board of directors and works in tandem with Eric Ruby and Gary Oates to lead the firm's growth and ensure meaningful and enduring results through an integrated technical, financial, and collaborative approach.

Greg has provided financial management for multi-office professional service companies, most of them in the environmental consulting industry. Since joining ESA in 2003, he has been instrumental in advancing the firm's strategic objectives while ensuring a strong foundation of information technology and accounting services focused on providing client value.

Greg holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and political science from Seattle Pacific University.
